The meCall and eCall (Emergency Call) buttons provides a unique safety net by providing connectivity from the vehicle to various Mercedes me connect support teams.

In the event an airbag or seat belt tensioner is deployed in an accident, the vehicle will establish a voice connection with the Mercedes-Benz emergency response centre. At the same time, the system will pass on vehicle location and number of occupants in the vehicle as well as other important information. If the call centre does not receive a response, it will immediately notify the nearest rescue service. The eCall button can also be manually activated to report an accident which the driver has observed or to call for help if an occupant of the vehicle is experiencing health problems. The meCall button provides connectivity from the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz call centre agents who can assist with vehicle-related inquiries, or concierge services if a valid subscription exists.
