AMG 4MATIC+ is an AWD system but it can made to provide the full engine's power to the rear wheels only. It's not the simplest of processes to engage Drift mode but at least it is doable. To engage Drift Mode, first put the car into the Race Drive mode. Then select manual shifting for the transmission. Completely turn off traction & stability control by holding on the TC button for a few seconds. Then pull on both steering wheel mounted paddles at which point a message will pop up on the driver display asking you to confirm entering Drift Mode. Pull on the "Up" paddle to enter Drift Mode or pull on the "Down" paddle to cancel the operation.
