2018 MERCEDES-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ COUPE 4.0 V8 BITURBO 612 HP l DRIVING SCENES (Sound+Running footage) l BEAUTY SHOTS. At its highest performance level, the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine is equipped with twin-scroll turbochargers and cylinder deactivation (Coupé). The AMG engine develops 450 kW (612 hp), i.e. 20 kW (27 hp) more than its 5.5-litre V8 predecessor. It is also considerably more efficient: fuel consumption combined is 9.3 (Coupé) and 10.1 (Cabriolet) l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions are 211 and 229 g/km.

Fast-responding transmission: The S 63 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet are equipped with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, which convinces with extremely short shift times and lightning reactions to shift paddle commands. The wet start-off clutch saves weight and improves responsiveness to accelerator movements. It also makes the RACE START function possible.
