What’s quickest in a drag race - a Toyota GR Yaris, a Toyota GR Supra, or a Toyota GR Dakar Hilux?

Well, it’s time to find out! We’ve brought all three to an airstrip in the desert, and all three are going head-to-head to see which of these Toyota-powered machines can snatch the checkered flag!

So let’s see how these competitors compare. Starting with the GR Yaris, it’s powered by a 1.6-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 264hp and 360Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels, and the car tips the scales at 1,280kg.

To it’s right we have Mat in the Supra! This is powered by a 3-litre straight-six turbo that can produce 387hp and 500Nm. However, along with more power, there’s also more weight, coming in at around 1,500kg. Moreover, whereas the Yaris has all-wheel-drive, the Supra is only rear-wheel-drive!

And then finally we have the almighty Dakar Hilux. It’s also equipped with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, but the power output has been limited to 361hp and 650Nm. As you would expect it’s also the heaviest car here, coming in at around 2,000kg.

So which do you think will win - will it be a clean sweep for the Supra? Or will the Dakar Hilux win it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
