What is a trickle charger?

A trickle charger keeps your Mercedes-Benz battery charged, which in turn, results in your battery lasting longer.

When should we be using trickle chargers?

If your Mercedes-Benz will be sitting for an extended period of time, your battery will naturally deplete itself. Therefore, it is important to have the trickle charger on at all times to prevent the battery from dying.

Why are trickle chargers important?

Trickle chargers are available as a tool to prevent your vehicle’s battery from dying. It’s best to use a trickle charger instead of starting your day with a dead battery.

How do I know if I need a new battery?

You may need a new battery if you start seeing the following warning signs:

Check Engine light is on
A slow starting engine
A bad smell – damage to the battery can cause the battery to leak gas
Corroded connectors
Battery is over 3 years old
Cracked/swollen battery – Exposure to extreme weather can be the cause
Low battery fluid
Vehicle making clicking sound when starting engine
