Diagnose and Fix the Secondary Air Pump on a 2003 Mercedes AMG SL55 (R230). In the US this is known as the Smog Pump. This fault will cause the Check Engine Light (CEL) to illuminate and the error code P0410 to be set. This appears to be a common problem on Mercedes of this era.
Tools Used:
Small Spanners and sockets
OBDII code reader - I used a Foxwell NT530, but Bluedriver and, of course, SDS also worked for me.
Optional - Multimeter to check the relay and fuse

AMG Secondary Air Pump by SKP, part number SKAP913068 sourced from Rockauto.
4 pin 40Amp Relay, normally open
