Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2018 Car Review
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, sometimes called G-Wagen (short for Geländewagen, "cross country vehicle"), is often a mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Austria and sold by Mercedes-Benz. In certain markets, it is often sold within the Puch name as Puch G. The G-wagen is seen as a its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of many few vehicles to possess such a feature. Despite the introduction associated with an intended replacement, the unibody SUV Mercedes-Benz GL-Class in 2006, the G-Class continues to be in production and is also one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history, that has a span of 35 years. Only the Unimog surpasses it. The G-class was made as a military vehicle coming from a suggestion with the King of Iran (during the time a significant Mercedes shareholder) to Mercedes and offered to be a civilian version in 1979. In this role it is usually referred to as the "Wolf". The Peugeot P4 became a variant made under license in France that has a Peugeot engine. The first armed force on earth to use that it was the Argentine Army (Ejército Argentino) from 1981 using the military model 461.
