2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe Overview

The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is an all-new model, to compete against the BMW X6. Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe 63 is the top performance model. In 2020, it got a facelift and power upgrades. Under the hood, it comes with the 5.5-liter turbocharged V8 engine, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. A small electric motor has been added to the engine to provide better acceleration and response, as well as improve fuel economy. Available features include adjustable air suspension, adaptive cruise control, and active parking assist. The exterior features HID headlights, LED running maps, and 21-inch cross-spoke AMG alloy wheels. The 5-seater interior offers leather upholstery, mood lighting, HDD navigation, panoramic sunroof, rear entertainment system, keyless start, ventilated power front seats, and a split-folding rear seat. Safety features include nine airbags, stability control, ABS and a drowsiness monitor, with options such as a rearview camera with parking sensors, active lane assist, blind-spot monitor, and automatic pre-crash braking. For those who need that V-8 fix, BMW offers a 523-hp twin-turbo option on the X5 SUV and coupe-like X6 at a similar price as the GLE53.

What's New for 2022 Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG?

For 2022, the AMG version of the GLE-class SUV and coupe receive a handful of updates. Automatic high-beam headlights are new standards. Cirrus Silver is a new addition to the list of paint colors. Both Mercedes' in-cabin air purifier-and-fragrance system (called Air Balance) and multi-adjustable front seats with massage functions are now available as individual options.
